The history of Logic Group plc

During 1993, our parent company, Deutscher Inkasso-Dienste (DID) now trading under the EOS banner, entered the UK market via the acquisition of 2 companies, Collection Agencies plc and Logic Group plc.

Although part of the same Group, both UK companies operated independently, with Collection Agencies plc specialising in the provision of services to the consumer market and Logic Group plc specialising in services for the commercial sector.

As part of EOS's strategy to strengthen its position as a major player in the credit and debt management industry, in March 2001, the two companies were brought together under the one trading name of Logic Group plc.

In June 2001, The Downland debt recovery operation from Freemans (Mail Order), another EOS company, was acquired by the Group and established in a purpose built call centre facility in Sheffield. During 2002 the Edinburgh and Perth operations were relocated to specifically designed call centre premises at nearby Livingston.

This strategy allowed the sharing of resources and information and enabled a stronger investment in staff and technology. This will ensure that our clients can obtain a greater expanse of services, with a higher degree of service, quality and value for money.
